Custom Chinese Herbal Formulas

Individualized herbal formulas

At our office we offer custom-made Chinese herbal formulas, based on bio-energy testing of the body's reflex points that correlate to the various organs and glands. We use Sun Ten single herbs—considered by many to be the best Chinese herbs available—to build up complex and highly individualized formulations. These herbal combinations are often helpful in supporting the treatment of a wide range of conditions where herbs, nutrition, chiropractic, acupuncture etc. are combined to form a highly effective healing system. The customized approach for determining the need for Chinese herbs allows the practitioner to closely evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment, and to suggest when to discontinue herbal therapy as well.

When Chinese herbs may be helpful

A 5,000-year Chinese medicinal history shows that Chinese Herbs can be potent pharmaceutical agents capable of addressing a wide range of ailments. Many people have found relief from such conditions as bacterial, viral and fungal infections, chemical and heavy metal toxicity, inflammation and tissue damage, hormonal imbalance, immune deficiency, neurological dysfunction, insomnia and even, in some cases, infertility.

Synergistic approach

Herbs are whole substances created by nature itself and can be utilized by the human body in a holistic way. They are composed of literally hundreds of phyto-nutrients, mineral compounds and other ingredients that all work synergistically together—as opposed to man-made drugs typically created from just a few isolated chemical elements.

Contra-indications

The most common reason not to take Chinese herbs is during pregnancy, where some herbs can lead to a miscarriage. Therefore, if a female patient has any possibility of being pregnant they should inform their practitioner at the beginning of the treatment process.
